As reported by Forbes in their article “Side By Side With Comfort: Polaris Debuts New ‘Xpedition’ Overlanding UTV Lineup” by Bill Roberson, Polaris, a pioneer in off-road Utility Vehicles (UTVs), has introduced the Xpedition line, catering to comfort and overlanding experiences. These off-road machines, seating two to five people, are not street-legal but are designed for off-road travel, combining elements of the Polaris RZR with enhanced features for longer-distance adventures.
The 2024 Xpedition models, available in XP and ADV platforms with Premium, Ultimate, and NorthStar trims, offer over 200 miles on a 12.5-gallon gas tank. Priced between $29,000 to $39,999, they feature Rhino-Rack roof racks for rooftop tents and other gear, emphasizing overlanding suitability. Optional heat and air conditioning on select trims make the Xpedition a unique and more car-like off-road vehicle in Polaris’ lineup. Reid Wilson, Vice President of Polaris Off Road Recreation, stated, “our goal was to bridge the worlds of traditional side-by-sides and overlanding.”
